June recap:
was a great invitations of a friend and families.
Nikki (joe's cousin) and her husband Mark, moved from Pennsylvania to Oregon. no doubt they were exhausted along with their felines, but they made such a wonderful effort to stop by and pay us a visit. like always, i'm excited to see my white relatives. Nikki and Mark got to see Gabby for the first time and got to see Great Grandpa.

also Aunt Suzanne got to visit us as well during the Father's day weekend. to her pleasure like always, she asked the kids to go over to the hotel that she stayed in and invited them to enjoy the pool. too bad for them, i never (almost always anyways) leave the house without my camera.

the new kid on the scrapbooking block: Ms. Popularity '06, made a trip here in Montana with her husband Derrik. and i would like to say, she made a special stop at Sisters and visited. it was awesome to actually congratulate her in person. i will say again that she's one of the lucky ones of this year's Hall of Fame.

(i stole this picture from her own blog. i hope it's not against the law)

and tonight after being trapped, engulped, engrossed, captured by the book The Secret Garden, i made my regular visit in 2 peas and i discovered that my friend Kristin: the Digital Pro had created such fabulous and astonishing digital layout of the Little Miss Gabby. it was the last layout i noticed that was newly posted and i looked and for a moment, i was wandering: "how odd, this picture looks familiar". i was so speechless when i finally realized it was Gabby. she was only 6 days old in that picture. i nearly jumped out of my skin! so giddy and so grateful that Kristin did that. it is so beautiful. it is something to see.
(i also stole this picture from Kristin's blog)
and i see that Gabby don't look like that anymore. she has changed.
she has grown a lot. in fact, this is what she's doing now:
practicing. so she can go in an adventure.
this was her exact third push up. her first 2 ones was at the church. i was the only one that got to see it because i was just stairing at her during the music service. Gabby was only 5 months and 18 days here.
how time flies!

Maikee wanted a glass of milk. well, we didn't have enough so, i put some "buttermilk" in the regular milk and gave it to him. and he didn't have any clue what i did to his milk. i watched him as he took his first sip of THE milk. i couldn't keep a straight face. i was just laughing!!!! laughing!!!! you should have seen his face! he said "this milk has gone bad. i don't like this mommy". so i told him that i mixed some buttermilk. and told him not to throw it away. THEN, Maikee suggested to keep the milk for big sis since she was gonna make some orange julius.
(you see Daddy has been showing Ate Danie how to make his special orange julius)
so what i did... i poured Maikee's milk back in galloon of milk.
then today, Danie got all the ingredients for the juice. and daddy did the blending part. while they were drinking, i asked them if they can taste buttermilk in the juice. and both danie and joe were terrified "what?!!? buttermilk?!?!? and there's Maikee sipping his juice, just laughing. both Maikee and i told them about the half milk, half buttermilk. (i'm sure none would think this is funny however, this buttermilked OJ struck me funny. )

well, you know how it goes when you haven't gone grocery shopping and you gotta improvise something, to stretch your supply, right?
but look how scrumptious this OJ looks? so DELISH!!! delicious especially with just a few drops of buttermilk (uh-hmmm, few drops of buttermilk).

a night of dance

a night of dance, indeed!!!
this is how it began: almost a year ago, i surprised Danielle with a ballet enrollment for her birthday and i thought she would absolutely hate it and i thought Joe and the rest of the family would think i was just doing my usual thing, like: forcing her to do something against her will. well, as it turned out, it wasn't everything i thought. it was the opposite. not only the rest of the family approved it but Danie loved it. she loved the surprise birthday gift and actually loved going to the once a week class at YWCA- The School of Classical Ballet. and tonight we got to watched and enjoyed the fruit of her labor: her first recital, well not a solo performance but she was a part of a huge production held at the Alberta Bair Theater. the theater was filled!!! and i am absolutely sure that everyone left with a happy soul. i wish i could somehow describe it but i don't think i am that descriptive. all i can say is that it was absolutely magical. so magical that i am going to order the video of it.
Danie looked fabulous, looked so calm, looked so confident and she looked she had the time of her childhood!!! she had a blast!!!
we had good seats too. we were 2 rows from the stage. so CLEAR! we really got to see the show!
Maikee kept asking Laurie " do you see my sister?" you see, Danie didn't come to the scene until in the middle part of the show. he was quite the proud little brother when big sis came on the scene. AND when the show was over, the people that started leaving from our row, couldn't help but stop and complimented on Gabby as the most well behaved little audience.
we watched the whole thing. from 7:30 to 10:00. Laurie's elderly mom didn't even want to leave early..... she was engrossed with the show. how about that?
here's some pixes.

way before their part, i left the building, ran across the street, gathered all the canine walkers and took this picture. they loved me!!! look at them, so spectacular!!!

we were so close to the stage, she could see us. she was even looking at us.

see Little Miss Danielle? she's the 2nd one from the right.

well, endless to say, we are so proud of Her!!! and we are so ordering the dvd.

she's already looking forward for the 2nd level. starting this fall.
