the cakes........

i don't know why do i do what i do. because you see, i just get so stressed out and it's never fun anymore. and yet, i still do it.

first:
after talking to Evi about a wedding cake (well, it was sort of reception cake- since they got married already last December), i seriously thought of calling her and just flat say " i don't really wanna do it, but i know a friend of mine who's really good at it" but when she came back and brought her husband- Ian, i had to change my mind again. i thought "awwwww, these guys are hopelessly in love and they're sweet and kind... and on and on. so i fell for it. i made the cake.
luckily, it was fondant and i'm kind of my own boss now SO anytime, anywhere, i can just say
"look, i don't frost cake, i fondant cake."


lucky them, not only their cake lady is a cake lady, but she's also a photographer (not a pro though just a self proclaimed one ) they'll going to enjoy some of the pictures she took. like:

Julie Spillers, my one and only Southerner Bell friend had a baby girl and i had the chance to have a little bit of baby party. it was nice to have a baby shower when baby is already born because everyone can pass the baby around. and here's these little munchkins: they sure were adorable, nobody really wanted to eat the little noggins. who can blame them, no?

this is one of my all time favorite_ i've made it so many times now that i can do it with my eyes close. so adorably stinkin' cute!!! diaper wreath. i embellished it with left over mini bottles which i used to for the invitations.


this is another one of my favorites: clothes line with brand new onesies with socks. as you cans ee (who am i talking to?), there were not much of gifts. Julie is not from here so that explains why she had a very handful guests. but we still had a great time. it's never about the guests anyway, it's about who you are with and who's the gathering for.

Jennifer is next. due on March. Becca, Julie and I...... I.....I... i say, are already saying "we're doing the shower, Jen". well, who do you think is going to make the cake? the answer to my question. Me!

so eventhough i get so stressed out by doing what i do, in the end, I'm happy.
